A new brokerage house on the Polish capital market starts operation. Michael / Ström will provide corporate investment banking services and offer original products for retail investors, as part of the investment boutique service. As he explains, it’s caused by a combination of several favourable factors: unusually low interest rates, growing interest of companies in issuing bonds, competitive rate of return on corporate bonds in comparison with bank deposits, as well as growing interest in corporate debt market on the part of institutional clients and the necessity to substitute treasury bonds in portfolios after the reform of Open Pension Funds.

This year specialists from Michael / Ström Brokerage House have already finished a project of obtaining debt financing for ROBYG S.A. and Ronson Europe N.V. Other transactions are pending. – We want to focus on the segment of financially stable small and medium-size businesses. We are mostly interested in issuance worth tens of millions of zlotys – says Michał Abramczyk, Member of the Board, responsible for business development at Michael / Ström.
